Roadworks are getting underway
National Highways have confirmed the permanent closure of a M621 exit slip road from Monday with an overnight closure of the road to carry out the works.
From 8pm on Monday , the M621 will be fully closed anti-clockwise between junctions 4 and 1 overnight to enable the relocation of temporary barriers. The carriageway is expected to reopen in the early hours of Tuesday morning.Once the carriageway is reopened, the junction 2a exit slip will be permanently closed.
In December, National Highways began adding and widening lanes at the busy junction 2 near Elland Road. These improvements will provide extra room at the junction to help keep traffic moving and reduce queues, so drivers can get to their destination sooner.
