West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue were dealing with the fire in the early hours of the morning
A stretch of the M62 has been closed overnight and into this morning after a lorry fire broke out on the road.
Now, West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service have issued an update on the fire. The M62 does however, remain closed, reports National Highways.The fire service said: "We were called at 2.40 this morning to the Westbound carriageway of the M62 between junctions 31 and 32 to reports of a large vehicle on fire."All crews had left the scene by 04.48. There are no reports of any injuries.
"West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service left scene at 04:40 once it was established the fire had been fully extinguished and contained. West Yorkshire Police remained on scene until 05:16 when National Highways service providers arrived to clear debris from the fire from the carriageway and begin assessment for potential damage caused to the road surface.
