Follow live updates here for the latest on the M6 as well as other major routes including the M65, M55, M61, M58 and A6
Hello and welcome to LancsLive's M6 traffic and travel coverage for Thursday, September 21.
We'll be bringing you all the latest up to date information on what's happening on the motorway in and around Lancashire. This includes updates on delays, crashes and congestion affecting the network. We will be drawing on information from police sources and traffic monitoring services and also keeping an eye on other major routes including the M65, M55, M61, M58 and A6. Driving conditions have been difficult the past two days due to a Met Office yellow weather alert for heavy rain.
Thursday's forecast shows a big improvement with mostly cloudy and sunny conditions. There are currently no major issues on the network this morning.
