National Highways has published a list of all roadworks taking place over the coming weeks
Motorists are being advised to plan ahead with roadworks continuing to taking place on motorways in and around Lancashire.
The cash is earmarked for projects across Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cumbria up to the end of March 2024. This package is in addition to the major infrastructure developments in construction or in development such as the A66 Northern Trans-Pennine and the M6 Lune Gorge projects.
The work affects a stretch between junctions seven and 10 and while the 50mph speed restrictions have been removed, more works are planned to finish off the job. The agency said: "We will occasionally need to close the hard shoulder while our safety work is underway, and road users should also expect a very small number of carriageway closures for technology installation works that cannot be safely undertaken under lane closures alone.
