A Lake District hotel was named hotel of the year for England
A hotel in the heart of the Lake District is among the winners of this year’s AA Hospitality Awards. Recognising the best hotels and restaurants in the UK, the awards cover 15 categories celebrating the crème de la crème of hospitality across the country.
Forest Side in Grasmere was named AA Hotel of the Year for England, with inspectors impressed by its “wonderful public areas” which are “inviting and distinctive”. Forest Side is known for its Michelin-starred cuisine, led by Head Chef Paul Leonard, which celebrates locally-sourced produce. Many of the ingredients used are grown in the hotel’s own gardens and dishes are paid with an exclusive wine list to create the ultimate culinary experience.
