Luxurious Ribble Valley wine shop with its own bar recognised as one of the best around
With the dark nights approaching and autumnal climes setting in, many of us may be looking forward to sitting by the fire with a glass of red.
The Whalley Wine Shop has notched up a coveted spot on the shortlist for the Decanter Retailer Awards 2022 which has just been unveiled. The King Street shop in Whalley, near Clitheroe, is literally top of the game, having been crowned Best Local Wine Shop in 2021 and runner up the year before.It also won Independent wine retailer of the Year 2022 and was a finalist in the Drinks Retailing Awards 2021 and number 10 in the UK’s 50 Best Indies 2021.
"We've worked incredibly hard to build a new generation of wine shop, with fresh ideas and innovations. Being shortlisted for a Decanter Award for us is the absolute pinnacle in our industry". Similarly, Mary H said: “There were six of us for lunch and couldn't have chosen a better place to meet. The staff were so welcoming, the decor delightful. It was warm, sophisticated with great music and fabulous food and wine. I'm so happy I live close by!”
