Led by Dragos Lungu's 20 points, the San Diego Toreros defeated the Jackson State Tigers 87-61 on Wednesday. The Toreros are now 2-0 on the season, while the Tigers dropped to 0-2.
Lungu also contributed six rebounds for the Toreros . Wayne McKinney III added 16 points while going 4 of 8 and 7 of 10 from the free throw line, and also had 10 rebounds and five assists. PJ Hayes had 14 points and shot 2 for 8 from beyond the arc and 8 of 8 from the free throw line.
Keiveon Hunt finished with 18 points and two steals for the Tigers . Ken Evans added 12 points for Jackson State. In addition, Jordan O’Neal finished with 12 points and two blocks.
