LEGO has recently listed a brand new Ultimate Collector Series set of Luke Skywalker's X-34 Landspeeder from the original Star Wars film, timed for this year's Star Wars Day celebrations.
LEGO has listed a new giant set of Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder from the original Star Wars film. Released in 1977, George Lucas' Star Wars wowed audiences all across the world and spawned a multi-billion dollar film and merchandise franchise. The X-34 Landspeeder first appeared in Star Wars as Luke's personal transport on the desert planet of Tatooine.
Previous Star Wars LEGO sets of the X-34 Landspeeder have been released in the past, including a much smaller model in 2017 and a bigger one in 2020. Both LEGO sets have since been discontinued even as the company continues to build upon its Star Wars sets. Recently, it was announced that Aunt Beru's kitchen will receive a surprise set timed for Star Wars Day, or May 4.
The Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series is a line of robust highly-detailed and expensive sets such as the 7,541-piece Millennium Falcon and the 4,016-piece Death Star. Luke's Landspeeder will come with a specially molded windscreen that covers a large part of the cockpit, a feature absent in previous versions. The inside of the cockpit features driving controls and a detailed console unit.
Recently, LEGO has produced franchise-themed builds that have consistently wowed enthusiasts, such as their long-running Harry Potter sets, their Minecraft sets consisting of diverse biomes, and a recent Back to the Future Delorean set which showed off LEGO designers' acute attention to detail.
