The apparent injury occurred less than two innings after the Mets and Red Sox resumed their suspended game, which was paused until Saturday— and flooded, in some areas — Fenway Park the night before. And after the game resumed, Guillorme had already flashed the defensive instincts that made him a valuable reserve infielder, even as the Mets’ starters — Francisco Lindor at shortstop, Jeff McNeil at second — have already been solidified.
