Municipalities in Bergen and Hudson counties could be affected by a water main replacement starting Monday.
customers in eight municipalities may see discolored water or low water pressure starting Monday, officials said.
The commission will begin making repairs to a 51-inch water main that serves customers in Elmwood Park, Garfield, Harrison, Kearny, Lodi, Lyndhurst, North Arlington and Wallington, officials said. The project is expected to be completed on or around March 6. While the project is underway, customers in the eight affected towns towns will receive their water from a different source, the water commission said. The change may produce discolored water or lowered water pressure at any time while the work is being performed.
