OSHP said the driver failed to maintain control of the car, went off of the roadway, struck a utility pole, and overturned.
CARLISLE TOWNSHIP, Ohio - An Elyria man died after being ejected from his car that overturned from striking a utility pole in Lorain County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol confirmed.Troopers were called to the crash at 10:49 p.m. on March 26 on Indian Hollow Road, south of Butternut Ridge Road, in Carlisle Township, according to OHSP.
OSHP said he failed to maintain control of the car, went off the east side of the roadway, struck a utility pole, and overturned. Taylor was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the car, OHSP stated. He was taken to University Hospitals in Elyria where he was later pronounced dead, according to OHSP.Indian Hollow Road was closed for about three hours while troopers investigated the crash.
The Carlisle Township Fire Department, LifeCare Emergency Services, Don’s Towing and Recovery, and Ohio Edison assisted OHSP on scene, OSHP said.
