The system is also integrated into the home security system, so the couple can use their phone to call up images from any of the seven cameras located around the outside of the house. “The look is more modern than traditional,” said April, who had a big say in the design. “But we didn't want to go too modern. We’re trying to please multiple clients.”
“April didn’t want a fireplace in the living room, so we put one in the game room instead,” Jason said. “And we like to be a little bit ahead of the trend, so we decided not to go with the cathedral ceiling, which we think are becoming a little played out.” “Most kitchens cabinets are either dark wood or painted white,” she said. “I wanted something different, a more natural look that’s cleaner and fresher. I think what we did is both timeless and a little edgy at the same time.”
