Riders can chose between easy, moderate, hard, and severe trails
A long-awaited bike park which provides a free day out for all abilities of bike enthusiasts has opened in Northampton today. Mountain bike enthusiasts of all ages and abilities will be able to enjoy the £750k site in Hardingstone, with a number of trails with various levels of difficulty.
Physical activity, health and wellbeing charity, Northamptonshire Sport will to manage the day-to-day operations of the new Park. Two members of the Northants Sport team also will be overseeing the development of the Bike Park, whilst making sure as many people in the local community as possible, from children to experienced mountain bikers, can benefit from it.
Gabrielle Deere, the charity's Strategic Director – Business Development & Commercial, said: “We’re proud and excited to manage and operate this amazing new facility. As a charity focussed on physical activity, health and wellbeing, the Park aligns with our mission to help make the county a happier, healthier and more active place.
