Machete attacker guilty of attempted murder in central London
A man who used a machete to stab a stranger in front of panicked passengers on the London Underground has been convicted of attempted murder.
Mr Porritt suffered a severe injury to his right hand as he tried to protect himself, as well as bone-deep cuts to his head and shin.James Porritt had visited a gym and was on his way to meet his girlfriend and her father in west London He added: I don't know how I escaped. I was scared I was going to lose my little finger and I held it together.
