Organisers say the festival is 'a chance for everyone to relive their wonderful memories of 2012'.
The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is to host two weeks of events to celebrate 10 years since the London 2012 games.The festival at the east London sporting complex and park will begin on 22 July when the mayor of London will light an anniversary legacy flame.The celebrations will include live bands, Olympic quizzes and fitness workshops.
Lyn Garner, chief executive of the London Legacy Development Corporation, said: "What better way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the London Games than with 16 days of fun, entertainment, sport and culture?" The Olympic Park will also host live footage of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, which begins on 28 July, between 11:00 and 21:00 BST.
Minister for Sport and Tourism, Nigel Huddleston, said: "Birmingham 2022's free-to-access festival sites will bring the spirit of the Commonwealth Games to an even wider audience this summer. "We can't wait to see Birmingham, the West Midlands and London come to life for this vibrant programme as we continue to celebrate this major year of sport and culture."
