Liverpool named a 23-man squad for Europa League at start of the money and 11 additional names could also now feature
Liverpool have added 11 players to their Europa League squad ahead of their opening group fixture away at LASK Linz.
But while their senior squad was required to be submitted at the start of the month, the Reds’ didn’t have to confirm their selection of List B players until 24:00 CET the day before a match. Such a rule is why both Ryan Gravenberch and Ben Doak had to be named in Liverpool’s senior 23-man Europa League squad despite being born after 1 January 2002.
Conor Bradley and Kaide Gordon are the standout names, with Melkamu Frauendorf also boasting previous first team experience. Luke Chambers is also included, along with Calum Scanlon, James McConnell, and Lewis Koumas after they caught the eye in pre-season, and goalkeeper Fabian Mrozek.
