Hunter Biden faces three felony charges related to a gun he purchased in 2018.
Hunter Biden arrives at the federal court in Wilmington, Del., for the opening day of his criminal trial on Monday. A federal prosecutor in Hunter Biden’s gun trial told jurors Tuesday that “no one is above the law,” as a defense lawyer for President Biden’s son argued that his client did not “knowingly” lie when filling out forms to purchase a weapon. The next step in the federal trial in Wilmington, Del., is testimony from witnesses.
On Monday, first lady Jill Biden and other family and friends came to court to watch the proceedings. President Biden was in Wilmington but did not attend the trial, instead offering a written statement of support for his son and his recovery.
