A lane has been closed on the A1 due to a vehicle fire. One of the lanes on the A1 Southbound was closed due to the incident at around 6pm on Sunday, June 25.

The lane has been closed from the Tuxford junction with the A6075 Ashvale Road to the Newark junction for the A46 and Newark Showground. Despite the incident traffic is understood to be coping well. According to the traffic monitoring site Inrix: "One lane closed due to vehicle fire on A1 Southbound from A6075 Ashvale Road to A46 . Traffic is coping well."
