following an accident in the city this morning. The city's traffic control centre reported that there were delays to inbound traffic in the Mapperley area.
It was because of a collision on the southbound side of Plains Road, close to the junction with Westdale Lane, which was partially blocked as a result. The incident was reported at around 7.45am on Monday . Google traffic data showed heavy congestion in the area as a result of the incident. Delays were running up Plains Road and towards Mapperley Plains. Delays were also building along Westdale Lane.The traffic monitoring site Inrix also confirmed that the road was partially blocked and that there was slow traffic. The incident eventually cleared at around 8.40am.
