LIVE: Police close off stretch of main road after woman hit by car - latest updates
this morning after a woman was hit by a car.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident on Chester Road just after 7am. Police said she is believed to have non-serious injuries. The southbound carriageway of Chester Road remains closed off, near White City Retail Park. Traffic is being diverted away from the area.A tweet posted by Stagecoach said: "Routes 255/256. Diversion heading to outer destinations via Talbot Road. This is due to a Police incident on Chester Road/Warwick Road junction. Manchester bound journeys are not affected.
