Forecasters warn that the downpours could hit when the Illuminations are switched on tonight
Heavy rain is expected to hit Blackpool today which could result in traffic and travel disruption.
The Met Office forecast shows downpours are expected at 10am on Friday and then at 12pm. There will be light showers this afternoon with outbreaks of sunshine before and band of heavy rain sweeps in at 5pm and then 7pm.
