Linda says she has learnt many things since she was first diagnosed with cancer
Linda Nolan has opened up on her health battles as she undergoes gruelling chemotherapy following the spread of cancer to her brain. The sixth of eight Nolan siblings, Linda, 64, is known for speaking honestly about living with cancer as her pop career.
But ; that she’s capable of enduring more than she ever thought possible, that you should get your eyebrows tattooed before you start chemo... And now, experiencing hair loss for the fourth time in her life, that sometimes it’s just better to get out the razor and be done with it. Although a visit to the pub afterwards helps.
But that doesn’t mean she’s not hurting, or angry, or scared. And the thing about Linda is she’s open about that, too. Losing your hair gets no easier the fourth time around, she says. “People say, ‘Well you know you look great’, but inside I’m screaming ‘I just don’t want to lose my hair again!’ I was devastated at losing it.
After a short break, she has now begun chemotherapy, which she undertakes every three weeks. The hope is, if she responds well, this will slow the tumours’ progression. Undeniably though, their presence is being felt. It was falls due to balance loss that led to the tumours in the brain being discovered. She’s now had a lot more of those.
