Residents describe the area as very 'peaceful'

You might well imagine living near a waste and recycling centre would be noisy and smelly. But that is not the case for neighbours close to the Calverton Recycling Centre, who say it is a 'peaceful' and nice place to live.

“We used to use the recycling centre before we moved here, we always want to come here because it’s peaceful. We haven’t had any problems at all, it’s so quiet - you can hear a pin drop. I really don’t have any problems with the recycling centre.”Another resident, Ben McMurdo, has lived in Calverton for nine years. Mr Mcurdo said: “It’s not too bad. It was bad in lockdown, massive queues - it’s fine now. It’s sound, no problem at all.
