Will our federal government ever really work for us, the people who put them there? I have my doubts and if Donald Trump gets in office again, God help us!I just watched with fascination as a small minority of Republicans ousted their speaker for the crime of collaborating with Democrats on a spending bill. Of course, without the united votes of the Democrat Party, this coup could never have occurred. The obvious irony is clearly wasted on the chucklehead caucus of the Republican Party.
The way forward is public transit. Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin and San Antonio could be linked via mass high speed transit. You want to connect in Texas? High-speed rail is the answer!While it’s great the Texas Department of Transportation is working to fix our highways and make them more efficient, it’s time we focus some energy on expanding other forms of transportation. Cars are not going away and we need to spend money on maintaining car infrastructure.
