The former Rangers loanee earned praise from a current Ibrox star after he netted a quite incredible goal. It is a moment he's been waiting a long-time for and just the result was the down side of his day.
The former Rangers loanee blasted an incredible effort from range into the top corner of the net as he grabbed his first goal since returning to the club. He levelled up the scoring on the road at Leicester City after Wanya Marcal-Madivadua opened the scoring at the King Power Stadium but it was late heartbreak for the Bluebirds as the hosts made it three wins from three thanks to Cesare Casadei's 92nd minute winner.
Despite the result, it was a moment that the midfielder has been waiting to have for a long time as he detailed his reason for running towards the travelling fans to celebrate. His strike even caught the eye of Light Blues defender Balogun who delivered a three-word assessment of the strike. Hailing THAT moment, he wrote on Instagram: "Been waiting for that feeling. Gutted we couldn’t take our chances but a lot of positive to build on.
"It was one of them days where I'm buzzing to finally score again in that shirt but disappointed not to come away with something. The fans turned out in their numbers today, which is absolutely brilliant. "For me to share that moment with them was really special and I wanted to make the effort to get to them and celebrate with them. It was a nice moment for me, giving back again."
