The Lego Group and Sega have announced that they’re working together once more to bring four brand new Sonic the Hedgehog Lego sets to brick building fans later this year.
The four new sets will be available in August, and will feature Sonic, Tails, Amy and even Dr Eggman across the four sets, which are named Sonic’s Speed Sphere, Tails’s Workshop, Amy’s Animal Rescue Island and Tornado Plane – along with a new version of the iconic Green Hill Zone whichA big new feature will be the aforementioned Speed Sphere.
In fact, this aspect gets a quite from the set’s designer Frederic Roland Andre: “I’m especially proud of the Speed Sphere, as it was quite a challenge to figure out how we would get Sonic to speed up and interact with each course.
Naturally, you’ll be able to mix and match these sets to your hearts content – with multiple sets offering more ways to build new ‘levels’ for Lego Sonic to traverse through. There’ll also be a bunch of accessories to allow the Blue Blur to do all the things he’s known for – such as eating chilli dogs and even a set of DJ decks to spin.
The Sonic the Hedgehog Lego sets will be available from Lego’s website and Lego stores from August 2023, followed by a wider release to all good toy stores later in the year.
