The troublesome youths 'who don’t seem to have any respect' have been loitering in Seacroft Green Shopping Centre
Seacroft Green Shopping Centre has become the regular stomping ground for gangs of youths “who don’t seem to have any respect” as they perform wheelies on their bikes, cycle into shops and even dump their two-wheelers in front of shop entrances, according to shoppers. One man even claimed he's seen them carrying knives.
West Yorkshire Police has said their East Leeds neighbourhood policing team have been working with youth services to help reduce crime and antisocial behaviour. The force says it has seen a month-by-month fall in crime. 'Outrageous' Salesman Simon Yates, 45, has claimed to have seen youths carrying knives and spoke about a culture of disrespect which has developed of over the years.
Concerned dad David Yates, 55, says he passes these youths in horror, wondering what their parents must be thinking. He fears if he says anything to them, they’d enact retribution on his teenage son.
