Leeds City Council will launch a new "enhanced" mental health support service to support people across the city.
This service will promote existing wellbeing support groups across Leeds seven-days-a-week, including over weekends and on evenings. The programme will also help to co-produce new groups on positive mental wellbeing.There will also be provision for training for individuals within organisations with the skills needed to support those at risk. In addition, the programme will work to tackle the stigma and discrimination which surrounds mental heatlh.
"The pandemic has reinforced the importance of mental health support and it is essential we get into the hearts of our communities to provide it."
