Submitted photoThe Lebanon County Bar Association’s executive director announced her intention to run for the Democratic nomination for the open 101st state House District seat in the May 17 primary.

Catherine “Cavi” Miller, 39, of Cornwall, wants to fill the seat that has been occupied by Rep. Frank Ryan who announced last month thatMiller, a mother of two, said as a state representative, she would focus on quality public education, prioritizing the needs of the district’s aging population, and the rights of all residents regardless of race, religion, gender or socioeconomic status.

She also said she believes in science; equality; small, effective and transparent government; and responsible gun ownership and the right for all citizens to protect their families.Among her past jobs, Miller, a licensed pilot, was an occupational health and safety contractor for the commonwealth.
