Sweden\u0027s Anton Gaddefors was a late addition to the Saskatchewan Rattlers, who resume CEBL action Wednesday against the Guelph Nighthawks.
The Saskatchewan Rattlers brought the 6-foot-7 forward over from Sweden for the final five games of the Canadian Elite Basketball League regular season after fan favourite Sebastian Aris returned home to Denmark for family reasons.
“I was sick, right off the bat,” he explained. “There was some sickness on the team so it was two and a half long days not seeing so much , but I’ve been out walking and, so far, I really like it . It’s nice.” “Everybody’s who has come here has been hurt or sick or something along the way. It’s crazy the way it goes, but it’s the nature of the venue, especially this time of the year when the rosters change.”
Gaddefors has played professionally throughout Europe with stops in Sweden, Serbia, Belgium and Poland. “You know, when you are in Europe, you occasionally see one or two super-talented, athletic guys with the teams. Here, it’s a full team of them, so it’s very different. So far, it’s a really fun experience.”Article content
