A lovely moment
A 90-year-old great-great-grandmother from Lancashire was left holding back the tears on her first ever trip to the Grand National.
Speaking to the ECHO, Kathy, said: "We come from around Ormskirk and we're here with my mum who's 90. That's the sole reason we came because she said 'I've got to go to Aintree before you know what'. Here she is and that's why we're all here."She continued: "Even though we live locally it's our first time." When asked about her outfit, Sadie said: "Last minute, second hand, I put this outfit together and I just want to enjoy myself.
Readers were quick to compliment the stylish pensioner. Michelle Bridson said: "She looks incredible! Go ed Sadie." Isabella Higham remembered Sadie from her days as a dinner lady. Lilyy Wattss said: "Glad you posted her hope she has the best day she is so lovely. Can't believe she's 90."
