Nets big man LaMarcus Aldridge missed Tuesday’s game against the Hornets with a hip injury, and won’t play Thursday in Philadelphia.
“Yeah LaMarcus is going to miss this trip, and then we’ll see,” coach Steve Nash said. “But that’s all I know for sure is he will not be here [against the Hornets] or in Philly.”. Instead of traveling with the Nets, he returned to New York to be examined and had an MRI. The results saw him ruled out the rest of the trip, though no other timeline was given.
Nic Claxton and Blake Griffin appear in line to get more minutes while Aldridge is out. Brooklyn opted not to call up rookie first-round pick Day’Ron Sharpe for Tuesday’s game, though it’s still on the table going forward. Sharpe hasn’t played since Feb. 28. He was a DNP in Toronto and against Miami, and was inactive Sunday in Boston, sent to play with G-League Long Island.
