With the team draining seven bonus buckets, Laurynn Ham accounted for two of them in the big district win.A hint as to what was about to occur took place during Deer Park's pre-game warm up. In their shoot around, the Lady Deer were draining five consecutive shots more than once. Was it a fluke because no one was guarding them or was it really a taste of things to come.
"When their number is called, we just ask them to take care of business and go out there and have a little fun," said Brooks, whose club upped its district record to 3-0, while Memorial tumbles to 2-2. "We knew she could shoot. She'd definitely a great player. We just wanted to contain her as much as possible. We just wanted to make sure we limited her looks and overall we did a pretty solid job of that," Brooks said.
Oh, and speaking of rebounding, it was another rout. Deer Park held a 29-14 advantage. It truly was a team affair as every player had at least one rebound.
