Kristen Wiig's beloved 'SNL' character Target Lady is promoting her favorite store in a new series of commercials.
Target Lady was one of Wiig’s most beloved — and one of her most frequently recurring — sketches from her seven-yeartenure. The chaotic character always alienated her customers and co-workers with her bizarre enthusiasm for “Terget,” as she pronounces it, and utilized Wiig’s penchant for goofy voices, cartoonish facial expressions, and rattling off meandering, outlandish dialogue.
The ads are promoting the launch of Target Circle Week, which will last from April 7 to 13 and encourage shoppers to join Target Circle, the store’s free rewards program, as well as Target Circle 360, a subscription-based program that will provide same-day shipping for shoppers.
