He's been locked up
A foolish criminal shouted out his own name during an armed street robbery - making investigating officers' lives easier. Kyle Wood, 34, who also has a distinctive teardrop tattoo on his cheek, had carried out two separate street robberies on young men who, moments before, had got off a bus and were both walking towards their respective homes in Long Eaton, Derbyshire.
Sarah Allen, prosecuting, said both robberies took place shortly after midnight on August 30, last year. She said the first victim had just alighted a bus from Nottingham and was walking home when he was approached by the defendant in Derby Road. The prosecutor said: " Aimi Turner ran over and both demanded money from him, pulling his hair while Mr Wood produced the knife and held it against the victim's back.
Wood told he police he felt "ashamed of his actions and does stupid things". He pleaded guilty to both robberies, possession of a knife and threatening someone with a bladed article.
