The May Be Part of the Royal Family, but Kate and Will Follow Their Own Path

King Charles and Queen Camilla kicked off their four-day visit to Kenya this week with a state banquet and a visit to the United Nations offices in the country’s capital of Nairobi. The trip comes at the invitation of President William Ruto, to celebrate the relationship between his country and the United Kingdom, and to mark Kenya’s 60 years of independence. Today, the British monarch delivered remarks on climate change while surrounded by diplomats and climate experts at the U.N. in Nairobi.

”His speech comes after this year’s Africa Climate Summit, which took place in September, and ahead of the COP28 Business and Philanthropy Climate Forum, which will take place on December 1 and 2, hosted in partnership with the king’s Sustainable Markets Initiative. The royal continued to speak of the grave effects of climate change and of his continued efforts to help halt global warming and create a better world for future generations.
