As well as raising important funds the day also brought awareness of childhood cancer 🧡🧡🧡
on Thursday 29th June, raising £4000 along with the Kids Planet Head Office.Safiyya Vorajee, the co-founder of The Azaylia Foundation, paid a visit to Kids Planet Preston on the day to raise awareness of childhood cancer and teach the children important values – whilst having fun.
The charity was created in August 2021 to fight childhood cancer, in memory of Safiyya’s late daughter Azaylia Diamond Cain. She set up the charity along with Azaylia’s father Ashley Cain in 2021, after they tragically lost their daughter Azaylia Diamond Cain to Acute Myeloid Leukaemia at just eight months old.
Kirsty Powell, Nursery Manager at Kids Planet Preston, said: “I just wanted to thank you for everyone’s support. I am thrilled and delighted we have been able to combine all our settings efforts to raise awareness for childhood cancers as I know this effect our children and families in the Kids Planet Group.
“This was something I felt very passionate about and how we support those children and families and I know the families here at Preston loved every minute, from the raffle to the orange peeling competition and our visitor last week.”
