Kenny reckons there's more pressure on brendan Rodgers to get a result at Ibrox and he expects gers to pile itn on.
Let me paint a picture for you. Rangers beat Celtic at Ibrox today in the first Old Firm derby of the season. They go top of the Premiership table, two points clear of their rivals across the city.
Listen, the 5-1 defeat to PSV in the Champions League on Wednesday night was a sore one. And I’ll stand by my view that it’s unacceptable for a Rangers team to suffer that scoreline against ANYONE. There is no better game to bounce back in after PSV. Rangers need to win the game and actually get ahead of Celtic. I’ve heard it said that there’s more pressure on Michael to get a result today. But I’m not buying that. There was a lot of negativity surrounding Brendan Rodgers’ return to Celtic. And there’s even more now, given the way they’re playing.
If they do go ahead of Celtic in the league, their next game against St Johnstone in a couple of weeks will be massive because they have to stay there. Ultimately, Rangers have to become champions again. By doing that, you bypass the minefield of ties like PSV by going straight into the Champions League.
