Shahi said that through her close partnership with Kendra Scott and as a breast cancer survivor herself, she wanted to celebrate the community and the people who rallied around her during her battle and all other breast cancer survivors.
The five-piece assortment includes two necklaces, two earrings, and a bracelet that are all named after Shahi’s mother Ashrafa and her maiden name Mayel — theSpecifically, Shahi was inspired by her mother’s immigrant journey and sees the collection as a symbol of hope. Tying in her Pakistani and Afghan heritage, the evil eye of protection on the Ashrafa bracelet and Ashrafa necklace symbolizes strength, positivity and protection.
And unlike many breast cancer collections, Shahi’s collab doesn’t include the typical hue associated with the month. She notes that she wanted to feature colors beyond pink for a versatile style that can be worn individually or layered with other everyday
