Kelly Ripa shut down her daughter's debit card after too many Postmates orders.
She went on to explain what everyone already knows: Meal delivery services are expensive. The price of delivery combined with taxes can double or sometimes triple the price of the actual food.
"But you know, she doesn't like the meals at school so she was ordering Postmates," Ripa continued. "Here's what would happen. She would order the $7 salad but it would cost $25 to have it delivered three blocks in New York City." Seacrest asked her exactly how she dealt with the issue and Ripa's response was blunt and straightforward. She put a stop to it.Lola, Ripa's second-oldest child with husband Mark Conseulos, is attending New York University. Her older brother, Michael Joseph, also attended the school, though Ripa didn't share whether or not he took advantage of his parents' generosity when it came to eating out.
