Stylist duo Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald have played a major role in Palmer’s knockout maternity fashion.

The stylists turned to the independent American brand Sportmax for the memorable army green three-piece suit. The bra top underneath added a healthy dose of femininity to the otherwise oversized and androgynous silhouette. “We were really looking for timeless looks that could stand the test of time,” share Bannerman and McDonald .
The stylists first worked with Palmer back in 2014, when she hosted a woefully short-lived BET talk show. The trio temporarily parted ways in 2016—pursuing new ventures—but they found their way back to each other in theWayman + Micah, who never worked with a pregnant celebrity client before, have quickly learned how to highlight and celebrate Palmer’s changing silhouette on the red carpet during this exciting time.
Still, Palmer has adapted maternity fashion to who she is and not the other way around. The star has not veered away from showing some skin and embracing bold tones, as illustrated when she wore a billowing, semi-sheer yellow dress for her David LaChapelle shoot. The bold garment featured a prominent cutout for her belly, proving that maternity fashion can masterfully show off, not hide or downplay, baby bumps.
