West Jordan Police Sgt. Andrew Hercules said officers were dispatched to 9100 South Mountain View Corridor just after 7 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, regarding a motorcycle crash. Sgt. Hercules said no other vehicles were involved, and that the rider - a juvenile - died as a result of his injuries. Utah Highway Patrol troopers initially reported that southbound Mountain View had been shut down due to a crash at 9000 South in West Jordan shortly before 7:20 a.m. on Saturday, May 25.
Utah Department of Transportation road cameras showed several West Jordan police vehicles and at least one fire engine on the scene by 8 a.m.Just after 8:30 a.m., troopers announced that northbound Mountain View had been shut down at 9000 South.Officers are in the process of investigating the crash and notifying next of kin.
