Model Josephine Skriver wore Alberta Ferretti—one of the first shows she walked at the start of her fashion career—to marry under the palm trees in Cabo San Lucas
, and singer/songwriter Alexander DeLeon met when a friend suggested she listen to one of his albums on a long international flight. Josephine loved the music. “I was tweeting back and forth with a fan about it, and because Alexander was added every time, he saw everything and tweeted back ‘thank you for the shoutout’—and that sort of started us talking. It was all because this one fan, Linda, tweeted us.
After navigating the rescheduling and replanning that came with the pandemic, the two set a date for April 3, 2022 and decided on Acre Resort in Cabo San Lucas for the location. “Because the wedding was a destination wedding, it was a lot of back and forth over email and text,” Josephine says. “Nothing was overly tangible or even visual to us at home, but we had full trust in our planner Bonnie Chase withWhen it came to her wedding day wardrobe, Josephine wanted every aspect to have a story.
After the ceremony, Alexander slow-danced with his mother to NSYNC and Gloria Estefan's “Music of My Heart,” and were surprised when guests and band members Chris Kirkpatrick and Joey Fatone joined them on the dance floor. Friends and family gave speeches and groomsmen dance-battled until late in the night. “We couldn’t be happier to spend the rest of our lives together,” Josephine says. “This is just the beginning, but we remember this night and weekend for the rest of our lives.
