In an, Boyega said he and his sister Grace took an Uber to the protest, put their masks on and joined the crowd incognito. Their plan was to"protest quietly."

Boyega was given a megaphone and spoke for almost five minutes, at times his voice cracking and a tear running down his cheek.
He told GQ that looking into the crowd and seeing the vulnerability in Black mens' eyes made him cry “because you don’t get to see that.”The"Star Wars" actor says he was reminded plenty about his race, especially when being cast as Stormtrooper Finn .
He said that actors of color in"Star Wars" often got cast aside, while white actors had more notable story lines.
