Police do not yet know if it was a lone burglar or a group
Jewellery worth £2,000 was stolen from a house in Northampton last weekend, according to police. An intruder - or intruders - targeted the property in Logwell Court, in Weston Favell on Sunday, October 30.
Investigators are now appealing for anyone with information to help them identify the person or people responsible. Officers believe the house was entered midnight and 2pm when a patio door was damaged, Northamptonshire Police said.. Several rooms were searched before the raider or raiders escaped with the jewellery.
Northamptonshire Police is appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area between midnight and 2pm on Sunday to contact its officers. Detectives would also like to hear from anyone who may have been offered items of jewellery for sale in unusual circumstances. A police spokesperson said: "Anyone who may have any information regarding this incident is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101, or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Incident number: 22000633838."
