Things didn't work out too well for Dallas last time Prescott used his legs against the Niners.
It’s no surprise that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is hyping up quarterback Dak Prescott ahead of his team's playoff game against theon Sunday, but maybe he could have picked a different facet of Prescott's game to hype up.
Jones made his weekly Dallas radio show appearance Tuesday to sing the praises of the player who thoroughly defeated a team that absolutely had no business being in the playoffs. While the owner did implicitly acknowledge the differences between the Buccaneers and Niners, he said the key to victory in the Cowboys' upcoming game was in Prescott’s legs.
“I think what you saw there last night, we’re going to get to see a lot of when we play San Francisco in terms of him keeping the ball and relying on that triple threat that he can have,”. “If we could get it, if he’s healthy enough to do it, his being able to instinctively take that ball and run with it … is really a dimension that [the 49ers’] defense has a difficult time adjusting to.”
This is just an owner shooting his mouth. But at the same time, this is the Cowboys, where Jones also serves as both coordinators, head scout, judge, jury and executioner. He was evenClearly, Jones was stuck in the moment after seeing what Prescott put together Monday.
