My friend took a bunch of videos of us just hanging around when I was getting my makeup put on. I was, like, Wow, I appear to be normal! Which generally is the trick of my life: I appear to be normal. What holds me together is thinking, I asked for this. And I want it. I’m really grateful to have it. You used to have a lot of resistance to filming your standup act.
