Alabama's offensive front has seen positives and negatives halfway through the 2023-24 season.
While the Crimson Tide has allowed 26 sacks in six games, it has looked impressive at times in both run and pass blocking. Over the last two weeks, Alabama rushed for 193 yards at Mississippi State and threw for 321 yards at Texas A&M.
Now returning home for three straight, the Crimson Tide is looking to start putting the whole thing together. "Just handle the movement better. I think we’ve got a lot better at that, handling movement," offensive tackle JC Latham said."Sometimes you can’t block everybody, if the safety comes all the way down to make the tackle, that’s the guy that we want to make the tackle, if anything. Sometimes you can’t control guys like that. But just handling our box, that front seven, understanding what we’ve got to do and understand what we’re working to.
"I think it’s proving that we’re resilient. We’re capable of doing all we have to do to get the job done. In the last game, we really leaned a lot more on our passing strength and a lot of guys stepped up. Jermaine Burton, Isaiah Bond, all those guys. And you look a couple weeks ago, we played Mississippi State and we leaned on the run game."
