Debbie Slater spoke to cops on Monday
The mum of missing teenager Jay Slater held talks with Tenerife police on Monday - 24 hours after officers announced they had called off the search for him.
As is standard procedure in Spain, the force have reported to a court, which has opened a routine judicial investigation, which yesterday released details of the case, including that Jay was formally reported missing to the police "between 6pm and 8pm" on June 17. Jay's family, including mum Debbie, who works as a school finance officer, and dad Warren, 58, have vowed to stay in Spain until Jay is found.
However, it has not been confirmed the eyewear has any connection to the missing teen. Jay, from Oswaldtwistle, Lancs, had been partying at Papagayo nightclub in Playa Las Americas the night before he vanished.
