We chat with LyleLyleCrocodile star Javier Bardem (BardemAntarctic) about taking on lighter roles amidst his darker characters and acting alongside his singing co-star:
Javier Bardem stars in Lyle, Lyle Crocodile as Hector P. Valenti, a magician who happens upon a singing crocodile voiced by Shawn Mendes. Based on the children's story of the same name, Lyle, Lyle Crocodile is directed by Will Speck and Josh Gordon from a screenplay by William Davies.
Screen Rant caught up with Bardem before the release of Lyle, Lyle Crocodile to discuss what it was like taking on lighter roles in between the darker characters he plays and the different ways they brought Lyle to life on set. While this case is very overly musical, so it is that. But also, once you put your feet on that water, you realize that it is not as easy as you imagine. All my admiration that I had before, but now even more about any actors that get themselves on stage every night to play a musical. That's so hard. I just did a movie where you do it on repeat, and you don't have to perform the whole song. And still, it was so difficult.
